Where compassion meets community action.

OUR STORY

A woman with short curly hair smiling, dressed in a white blazer, black top, and beige pants, sitting indoors against a light background.

The Safahla Foundation was born from a commitment to extend the compassionate, physician-informed care that defines Safahla Medical beyond the clinic walls.

Our founder recognized a growing need among women and underserved populations—gaps in health literacy, limited access to preventative resources, and financial barriers that too often delay critical care.

The Foundation responds to these challenges through community-based education, financial assistance, and advocacy initiatives designed to help women take charge of their health and future.

Each program is guided by the belief that wellness begins with knowledge, access, and empowerment.

Our Mission

To empower women and medically underserved communities in the Southern Tier of New York by expanding access to integrative health education and preventative wellness resources.
We leverage compassionate, physician-informed expertise to foster health literacy, self-advocacy, and long-term resilience within our community.

A future where every woman—regardless of income, circumstance, or background—has the knowledge, confidence, and access needed to achieve lifelong wellness.

Patient Self-Advocacy Training

A structured workshop module that helps women learn to navigate the healthcare system—researching specialists, understanding billing, preparing questions for doctor visits, and clearly articulating health goals.

Goal: Integrate the self-advocacy module into at least 75% of all wellness workshops and collect participant feedback on its effectiveness.

Looking Ahead

Over the next two years, Safahla Foundation will continue to build partnerships, expand outreach programs, and deepen our impact in the Southern Tier.
Our goal is not only to provide care—but to create a movement of wellness, knowledge, and empowerment that transforms generations.
